We are lucky to have a hospital that we can count on in an emergency, but what would the BBB do to our hospital? The short answer: Close it.

Our hospital relies on Medicare and Medicaid to pay for most of its services. This means cuts to these programs would impact the ability of McCurtain Memorial to function. The BBB cuts $880 billion from Medicaid, enough to shut down almost all rural hospitals. Additionally, the Bill adds so much to the deficit, that it triggers mandatory cuts to Medicare.

Imagine having to go to Tulsa, Dallas, or Little Rock in a real emergency. McCurtain Countians will die.

And don’t forget all the people that work at our hospital that would lose their jobs!
